Description

“[A] satisfying page-turner, complete with adorable animals and an idyllic summer setting.”—Publishers Weekly on The Summer of No Attachments

Summer flings with no strings mean nobody gets hurt.
At least, that was the plan…

After putting the brakes on her dead-end relationship, local veterinarian Ivey Anders is ready to soak up this summer on her own terms. The way she sees it, no dating means no disappointment. Why complicate life with anything long-term? But when she meets Corbin Meyer—and his troubled young son, Justin—Ivey’s no-strings strategy threatens to unravel before she can put it into practice.

Trust doesn’t come easy for Ivey’s best friend, Hope Mage, a veterinary-clinic assistant who’s affected by an incident that’s colored every relationship she’s had. Though Hope’s happy for Ivey, she can’t quite open her own heart to the possibility of love. Not just yet… Maybe not ever. Soon, however, she’s faced with a dilemma—Corbin’s older brother, Lang. He’s charming, he’s kind…and he may just be the reason Hope needs to finally tear down her walls.

And as the sweet summer months unspool, the two friends discover love won’t give up on them so easily.

Don't miss The Little Flower Shop, an all new heartwarming summer read from New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster about a 40-something florist who, with the help of her meddling small town, gets a second chance at life and love.

Lori Foster hits it out of the park again… I love her Summer reads so much, and this is no exception. Corbin & Lang are two brothers that any red-blooded woman would want. They’re sexy, strong, capable men with all the grit & determination to make them fine as heck! 😉 Ivey & Hope are so lucky to find such wonderful men who help create the heat in this book to go with the heat of the summer. Lots of sass among this bunch which is fun to read as well as be able to laugh along through a wonderful summer read. Warning ⚠️ If you’re afraid of cute & innocent animals and children, then this book may not be your thing… I, however, love both & they make Lori’s stories so special every time! ♥️

Both couples in The Summer of No Attachments share an emotional bond that transports the reader into their world. This is another story from Lori Foster that proves how family can have many definitions but above all the family that you choose to have in your life is the best. Both women in this story have their own backgrounds and hardships but they have become sisters who found each other along the way. They share an unbreakable bond which is only strengthened when the Meyer brothers enter the picture. The only part of this story I wish I could change was to make it longer. I wanted more of each of the girl’s stories and almost wish they were in separate books so I could continue on the adventures with them. I hope there will be another story in Lori Foster’s future that will include these characters! I loved this book! Any story that includes animals already wins bonus points in my heart but the way that Lori Foster delivered the romance and heart made this the perfect summer read! This book is meant to be devoured under the sun, on a beach towel, while sipping a yummy beverage. It is the perfect summer read! (Although I will read it again during any season) As always, Foster delivers the reader a story that will warm their heart along with some adventure along the way.

This is such a feel good story. You can't help but love Ivey and Hope, then add Corbin and Lang into the mix and this is a pleasure to read from start to finish. It was fun to watch Justin blossom from all the attention and love he received from the family that he recently acquired. It felt like two stories that you wanted to have Happy endings because it just warmed your heart. This is a must read especially if you are a Lori Foster fan.

Ivey is determined to have a summer of fun. Meeting Corbin changed that. Corbin’s life is crazy. He just found out he has a 10 year old son. Now trying to get to know his son and give Justin some security. Renting out his guest house and meeting Ivey and Hope was not in his plans. When Lang shows up and meets Hope he knows he will do whatever it takes to get her to open up to him and she sure does. Hope is learning to trust and love. What a beautiful story of love and family. So perfectly written!!

A great story filled with emotion, family and love. I enjoyed how Lori Foster added her love of animals and horror flicks into this one.

Another great read from Ms Foster! This was a feel good read with great characters, especially Corbin and Lang’s mother, Vesta. I like stories with two connected couples that resolve in one book. Even though Corbin and Ivey were the “main” couple, I really liked Hope and Lang. Lang was very perceptive and patient about Hope’s issues (which were understandable). It was nice to see the progression of Justin’s time with his new family. This is an easy read and would be perfect to take to the beach.
