When they meet, he is attracted and thirsty. He intends to bite Ellie and take a sip, and, boy, does she surprise him. It seems Elspeth Ramsey has secrets even she doesn’t know about. This is an awesome vampire romance that has mystery, humor, surprises, and secrets galore. The characters a fun and likeable. It may not have been what she had in mind, but Lady Lydia brings our hero and heroine together. Cain’s puppy is adorable. The end was a bit of a surprise, but I liked it. I enjoyed and recommend this short entertaining story. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
