This story is mesmerizing. I could not put it down and read it in one day. The description of the mountains and the secrets they can hold is both wonderful and frightening. I want to know more about the people Ellie is involved with.

OMG! Ms Herron is a master of the thriller genre! She had my rapt attention from Page 1 as her story of Detective Ellie Reeves & her search for 1, then 2, missing 6 & 7 year old girls (who’ve been lured from their families by a serial killer) unfolds! It’s a race against time as Ellie is joined by Ranger Cord, FBI Agent Derrick & a search & rescue team also familiar with the Appalachian Trail & its perils. To make matters worse, a blizzard is heading for the Georgia mountains. This is an edge-of-your-seat ride of one twist & turn after another! In addition to the frantic search, Ellie suspects her parents of hiding secrets about her traumatized childhood & the serial killer himself! I highly recommend The Silent Dolls if you love a thriller that keeps you guessing until the end! Preorder Ms Herron’s Book 2 in the series, The Wildflower Graves to find out what’s next for Detective Ellie & I am hoping that Derrick & Cord are back in her life once more❣️ Carol R. Florida USA
