Swedish Princes Gustav and Christian both want to marry Erika. Gustav wants the position and land she will bring him. Christian wants to marry for love. Christian and Erika love each other, but they have never voiced their feelings. When Erika leaves with her father for a four-year diplomatic assignment in London, Christian learns that she is sort of promised to Gustav. He decides it’s time to shape up and prove himself. He becomes a diplomat and assigned a post in London. Will this be his chance to win Erika? Can convince her and her father that he is worthy and the right man for her? This is a charming and entertaining story. There’s little action and no big villain, just a delightful romance. I found the characters quite likeable. Erika is sweet and bright. Christian started out a little reckless, but did some growing up. Gustav is considered staid and wise. He is the Crown Prince after all. Really, I think Gustave is full of Gustav. This a fun read.
