I have at this point read all of the books released by Piper Davenport and loved every minute of reading them. They intertwine with one another but no matter where you start you the characters guide you and you are not lost. The characters are well developed and the stories are intriguing. Definitely worth every moment. I already have the next one pre-ordered.

I love this series but must admit this was not my favorite. Poppy knew how this MC worked and should known better many times. The interaction between the two seemed rushed and without life. Everyone has an off day and maybe this is mine! I will definitely keep reading the series.

This book was originally titled The Longing. We first met Poppy and Devon when they were young in Road to Peace. They have each been harboring feelings for the other, but Devon feels she is off limits because of her connection to his uncle. There is trouble brewing with the club, and Devon is caught between his girl and his club. I loved Devon’s protectiveness, but he was over the top on occasion. I really felt Poppy’s frustration a time or two. There is a fair bit of intrigue and some very tense moments on their road to HEA. I really loved this story and all of the Dogs of Fire books.
