The male lead was PERSISTENT and the female lead was semi annoying….until it was explained why they were that way. I liked the book up 3/4 through. The ending was rushed. Very rushed. It felt like it was missing 4-6 characters.

Hawk and Payton meet when she helps his young daughter. Then they run into each other again later that night at a club gathering. The Dogs of Fire are not a typical MC, which I like. If you have read the two books in the Guardian series you were first introduced to Payton in her brother Brock’s book Witness. Hawk is a single father to Lily and immediately sets his sights on Payton. She isn’t so sure about a relationship because she doesn’t think they could want the same things. There is some OW drama that almost rips them apart, no cheating though. I don’t want to give anything away so I will just say I recommend this book.
