I simply cannot get enough of this series! All Emma Wardell ever wanted was to feel included. Though The Family never made her feel anything but, she found the ton looking down their noses at her her whole life no matter how well she dressed and conducted herself. Adopted at birth she was never presented, though never told why, and therefore had no hope of making a good match. After learning some of the truth about her birth and realizing the futility of it all, Emma begins drinking to excess and causing scenes, eventually forcing Mama Elisa and Papa Vaughn to ship her off to Kirkaldy to live with Will and Bridget...and Morgan, the most staid member of the Great Family and Emma’s complete opposite...and we all know what opposites do. While there, Emma becomes interested in women’s suffrage and equal rights. This book was a beautiful love story, but was also an eye opener to the true struggles and disadvantages women have overcome in recent history. This is a wonderfully written addition to the Scandalous Scions series and is a story of discovering oneself and finding your purpose
