The story characters were so amazing. The book started out slow but once Lucy was introduced I could not put the book down. Each page I turned reminded me of differences in people and how important respect not judgement is in all lives and places. Loved this book so much. Such a sweet happy ending.

What charming characters, and such light in a world that can feel so serious and heavy at times. It’s a feel good read!

I enjoyed this story. I wish the author had shown us a little more about why the supporting characters liked the protagonist so much. I’m afraid we didn’t get the charm Linus was supposed to possess even in his stuffiness. That being said, the story moves easily and has themes of oppression, being othered, and misfits finding chosen family.

I was skeptical at first, then thought another Ms. Pedigree book.. but I must admit.. considering my early dislike. I very much love the book. Love how the author portrays it to heart.. Definitely one of my fav books of all time. I would tell anyone to read this book.

Someone described this book as a hug and I concur wholeheartedly. Just the warmest, coziest embrace of a story. Thank you TJ Kline for blessing us with this lovely world, adventure, and characters. An absolute gem.

literally one of the most wholesome, pure good books I have ever read, I couldn’t stop laughing and smiling at the kids because they’re just so sweet and adorable, Lucy very commonly made me cackle. I absolutely loved this so much, it’ll definitely be on my favorite shelf! (And I would tip Chauncey and have him be my bellhop with delight ❤️)

Starts out slow and a bit gloomy but after the addition of sun, water, and love it blooms into a beautiful (at times even comical) fairytale. Despite its (fittingly) light simplicity, the story delves deep into human emotions and corresponding actions without feeling overbearing. By the end, you feel like you’ve been wrapped up in a big warm hug and that there is still hope for our current world.
