Laney McFarland is a well known and respected horse trainer. She has lived in a male dominated world with her six brothers, sadistic father, and sister. Even her work environment was male dominated. Laney grew up in Montana on a ranch and she achieved everything professionally but recently her life seemed empty and unfulfilled. She decides to take a break and see what life in Montana is like, many years later. One man, Luke Wallis, a Deputy for her hometown, was the one person she never could forget. Laney and Luke had a past relationship that only a few people were aware of. Luke was her brothers best friend and she knew she shouldn’t cross the line. The story evolves around unspoken feelings, past regrets, the brother/best friend code, unforgotten memories, and unresolved actions. It is a beautiful written story of second chances and family connections. Love it!
