This is a good book to read. It’s nice to see old characters from the other more than books make an appearance in this book. The love story is full of twists and turns but has a hea ending.

MORE THAN TEMPT YOU is the fifth book in the More Than Words series. This book can be read as a standalone although I recommend you read all the books in the series in order for some great story. Clint and Bethany story is a good story that makes since because when u lose a parent, especially unexpected you never know how someone will react. I absolutely love series so you can keep tabs on the other characters in the series. I can’t get enough of Harlow and Noah and you get some of them. Shayla Black never disappoints, and she didn’t here either.
  • An amazing read!!!

Wow!!! This story has everything! A bit of suspense, sexy alpha hero, strong heroine, and amazing story line. My heart hurt so much for the pain that both Bethany and Clint have gone through. I loved reading about the secondary characters, and can’t wait to get the next book in this series! An amazing read that I would highly recommend!!

While I was a little confused at the beginning of this story on what was going on, I quickly caught up and used context clues to figure it out, especially since I didn’t read the previous books in this series. While it’s not required, I feel that reading them probably would have given me better understanding into the characters and context surrounding the book and situation. Clint is reluctant to go home and is annoyed by his father’s persistence. Unfortunately, tragedy strikes in multiple ways, leaving Clint to pick up the pieces while figuring out what happened. Being scorned and out for revenge, he seeks justice by ruining what he thinks is the source of the tragedy – Bethany. After her father’s betrayal and manipulation, Bethany meets her siblings for the first time and attempts to bide her time and figure out her next move in life. When Clint finally finds Bethany, he exacts a plan to expose her and get the justice he so desperately needs, but as he gets to know Bethany and finds out bits and pieces of the situation that he was unaware of, he wonders if justice is being found in the correct place. When everyone’s truth is exposed, the big question is if Clint and Bethany come through it together. Overall, while I felt that the flow of the book dragged on and the climactic point was a bit sudden, it was a decent read. With that being said, I would definitely recommend reading the books prior in the series though. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is the fifth book in the More Than Words series. We met some of the family in the earlier books. This is the story of Bethany, one of Barclay Reed’s illegitimate children. She is trying to start a new life in Hawaii with her half siblings and recover from her father’s betrayal. Clint is looking for revenge. In his mind, his father’s death was directly caused by Bethany and her father in a giant scheme to steal money from their clients investment firm. Just like the earlier books, Ms. Black helps us invest in the characters from the beginning. Despite flaws in both of them, we can’t help but continue to cheer for their relationship. I have always admired stories where the hero and heroine don’t waver in their feelings. They may have trouble staying the course and overcoming obstacles but they never give up on the love they find. I look forward to the next story!!!

More Than Tempt You is a standalone in the More Than Words series. Each book focuses on one of the Barclay siblings, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. While this series has an overall theme of one father who has ruined their worlds in a different way, you do not have to read in order. You learn real quick in the beginning what Beth is dealing with. If you have read any of the previous books, you do get a small introduction to Beth and it wasn't a flattering picture for her. After learning what kind of man their father was, it was no surprise he had at least one of the siblings fooled. What you learn in this book was just how he fooled her and how truly horrible this man is. I knew he was bad when the other siblings talked about him but in Beth's story, you get the worst of it. Honestly it's surprising how Beth still has a good side to her after what her father forced her into over the years. You get a whole new Beth in this book. Her blindfold was ripped off and truths were revealed that left her reeling in the aftermath. Clint wants revenge and he believes Beth deserves everything that's coming to her. He wants answers and he wants her to pay but that's hard to do when you can't find her. He gets a lucky break when a friend of his tells him he found her in Maui. Coming at her for answers hasn't worked so he has to devise a plan to sneak into her life to find the answers. I'm usually on edge when one of the couple's is deceiving the other cause you know the truth will all come out in a disastrous way. That does happen, but it was also done in a way that made me love how they got to know each other. I don't see how it could have happened any other way with the situation they were in. It still took me a long time to like Beth but I loved Clint. Even with him being the deceiver, he was honorable and protected her even in the face of his anger. This has been a really enjoyable series. I've loved getting to know all of these siblings and their journey to finding love in the face of the bitterness they all felt due to their father. It was great to see all of them and their significant others come together for Beth in this book. Great series!
