Great read.

 Good but drawn out

I couldn’t help but notice that this book seemed to be exactly like a movie that I love called “Hope Floats.” There were a whole lot of similarities. Woman gets cheated on by husband and it’s on national tv. Woman moves back to her hometown with her daughter. Dad is trying to build a new life and isn’t involved with daughter. Past love is there...etc etc. I do really love the story but found it a little slow moving and it wasn’t one that I couldn’t put down. Overall definitely worth reading.

I thought these characters were over the age of 15? The all act younger than the teens in this book.

You will fall in love with all the characters and want to read more about them. I can’t wait to read Christy and Mark’s story next.

I have read quite a few books by Elena Aitken and I must say that she absolutely brought out some of her best stuff with this book!! The story of Cam and Evan hooks and reels you in from Chapter 1. I eagerly await the rest of the books in the Timber Creek series!!

A sweet story. It is very much like the Harlequin Romance novels. There are parts I found heart warming but there is the drama to balance the story. This is an easy read and is perfect for a vacation read.

When We Left is the first book in a new series by Ms. Aitken. This book truly moved me. What happens when your forced to leave the one person you love so much for the sake of changing things for the better. Now years later she’s back in Timber Creek. Both are adults. She with a child. Cam was not accepting to see Evan Anderson again. Her first love. He’s now Officer Anderson. What will happen now? Must read.
