I liked a fantasy without sex scenes. It was immersive and a quick read but I was left with wondering what happened with the Tsar….

Truly enjoyed it. Lots of different plot lines to follow and different characters. Definitely some unexpected twists and turns I enjoyed.

I would recommend this beautifully written novel to everyone; by far one of the best I’ve read in a long time.

Very good… duh! This was almost 3 stories in one! Quite a bargain tbh! Truely though if you enjoyed uprooted you won’t be disappointed! A bit on the PG side but I prefer that over stupid corny over the top porn myself!!!!!

Novik’s story glides so quickly and effortlessly it’s difficult to stop reading. Rereading added subtle details that further enriched the tale. The beautiful imagery of the fairytale is contrasted with reality’s perilous struggle for survival and how following your heart can lead to a better world.

That was so so wonderful. My new favorite author. These books are SO rich and wonderful. You really will want to root for these characters and learn a bit from them as well. Thank you!! My new favorite author.

A pleasant read, not too deep or complicated. No details or world building that ever fully immerse you, but enough to keep the story moving.

Like Uprooted, I devoured this book. Naomi Novik has the ability to conjure wonderful stories full of deep feelings despite a simple brilliant flow of writing. Excellent book to read over and over!

I have been non stop reading this book, wanting to see what happens next. Strong female characters, witty & multifaceted.......highly recommend!!!!
