I felt like I was living back in that time. I love strong women characters who did not let society norms get in her way. Historical fiction at its best

Interesting story of South Carolina in 1740’s when a young woman had to win her father’s plantation while he was away. She started planting indigo and we learn of all of the hardships along the way.

Always amazing to read about the people who have made our country great. This young woman’s story is one of a life well and justly lived within the constraints of the time she lived.
