Life changing
Shoves Christianity down your throat
1
By Alyssa.J.M
This book popped up in a Google search for self help books. I read a few reviews and thought it was a safe bet. I got a solid 49 pages in and couldn’t get over the constant reference to the Bible. If you’re Christian maybe this will work for you but I found it leaning too much towards the Bible. Wish I could get my money back honestly,
I didn’t even know what boundaries were

Before I read this book I had no clue what a boundary was.. this truly defined a boundary. It was great!
Too much based in Christianity
1
By RickiKelly
As someone who is not christian, it is difficult to read because every paragraph has some sort of excerpt from the Bible or some christian story. I just wanted to read how I can create better boundaries. Some christian stuff, ok I can work around that, but this was too much for me.
Boundaries - Freedom & Confidence

Cloud and Townsend teach practical tools that bring freedom personally and relationally.
It has been one of the most impactful resources in my different relationships:
parents, spouse, kids, and employees.
To know what is me and my responsibility and what is not has brought new freedom and confidence in my life.
Excessive religious content

It’s hard to trust the book’s wisdom with all the religious references. I think the author would have done better to leave that stuff out.
Good message, but too much Bible for me

The message is good. However, there’s too much Bible for me. I might have been mistaken when I chose to read it. Maybe, this book was written to make you feel better when you set boundaries from a Christian point of view. I thought it had a pure psychological basis, but Bible is all over the book. This is a book written by Christians and for Christians.
Second Time Through!

Second time reading through... Just as amazing! I first read this book 5 years ago, and I didn’t even realize how much it had positively affected my thinking. Looking back, I didn’t really take it to heart or put much attention into the book; even so, it changed my boundaries! Having read it now 5 years later, I’m realizing how different I am because of this book. You get out what you put in, having a softened, repentant heart is what will allow the changes and growth to happen. My one buggaboo, is how short the chapter Boundaries and God is. I realize the whole book is based around our boundaries and our relationship with the Lord, but I wish they had dug in a liiiittle bit more.
Great Book
