  • Great start to the series

I love a good hockey romance and Irresistable You is a great start to this hockey series. Harper is such a strong heroine who has had a crappy father and mother and not much family to speak of. Remy is the total opposite. He knows what it's like to have the love and support of a great family and wants nothing more than to be Harper's person. They start of as enemies, but quickly find that there is so much heat beneath the fiery looks and heated words. Harper and Remy were hot and I loved how Remy truly did what he needed to do to become Harper's person. Sometimes what you think you want isn't always the grand prize when you get there. Great story! I really enjoyed it.

Kate Meader never fails to deliver for me. I love a hockey book and to be honest I was worried that I wouldn’t love it as much as I love her firefighter book because I have read a TON of hockey books. I should feel silly to have ever even had such a thought. Irresistible You was amazing. Harper and Remy were more than I could have imagined. Remy was to die for, with his bulking frame, tough demeanor and penchant for breaking out his French at just the right moment, the Cajun hockey player hit all my buttons just right. For her part Harper was equally tough but soft when needed. Being boss and employee put them in a tough spot and watching them tread the waters of a fling when both knew it was a bad choice was hot and intense. If you a hockey fan than this is a book you don’t want to miss. These two have an undeniable chemistry and the circumstances forcing them to keep secret only made everything more exciting. I am a long time Kate Meader fan and this is just one more in a string of amazing books from her. Grab it today! ~miranda

Thought you loved Kate Meader’s dirty talking, sexy as all get out firefighters? Well wait until you get a load of her brand new hockey players! The Chicago Rebels are a team looking to redeem themselves with the help of their “take no lip” leader and the veteran hot shot she’s bringing in to seal the deal. Well developed characters and plot, lots of steamy sex and just an all around great group of people to hang out with. Can’t wait for more in the series! Harper Chase has been giving her all to the NHL for as long as she can remember, but she never thought she’d be handed over the team by her dad’s sudden death … but wait, she’s also stuck with her estranged sisters along for the ride! She’ll do anything to turn this team around and bring them to a winning season … and her latest acquisition just might do the trick! Remy DuPre has been playing hockey for a long time now and he didn’t get his nickname of Jinx for no reason. He’s been traded numerous times, had the bad luck of losing championship games, missed out on winning teams, etc. but he’s confident this is the year to go all the way … until he hears he’s been traded to the Chicago Rebels!

What an awesome start to a new series! I love a story about girl power. To see a series where women in a position of power of a male dominated sport, is a huge draw for me. The author did such a good job of creating a strong heroine in Harper and pairing her with a sexy Cajun that is powerful in his own right and made it work. I loved everything about this couple. The resistance was expected of the theme of this story and never felt overdone. Remy, his Cajun accent and sexy endearments were a real treat to experience. This had great side characters that will have you looking forward to their own books. I highly recommend this book! ARC provided by NetGalley.

I adored Kate Meader's Chicago firemen but I do believe her hot Chicago hockey guys have them beat!! Remy was fantastic and Harper was the perfect match for him. In the last year of his career Remy DuPre gets traded to the bottom of the barrel Chicago Rebels and let's just say he's not too happy about it. With the last goal of holding the cup on the line he makes a deal with the tough as nails owner Harper Chase. He'll play as hard as he can and lead the team as long as she agrees to trade him to a contending team in 3 months. Everything seems fine until he starts to care a little too much. For his team and for Harper! A fun sexy read I highly recommend.

In Irresistible You, Kate Meader takes on the world of hockey. In standard Meader style, she has included a twist, the team owners are women. In a final act of defiance, Harper Chase’s father leaves the Chicago Rebels to her, and her two half-sisters. He never believed she was up to the challenge of running a pro-team. Though Chase viewed this as punishment for Harper, he actually did the best thing for her ever – he gave her a family. Don’t get me wrong, the sisters have a rocky road and they are only getting started. This relationship is really at the core of this series and I look forward to seeing it play out. I was originally in this for the hot hockey players, but I stayed for the great dynamics and watching a trio of powerful women take on the establishment. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

4.5 great start to a new series stars. I enjoyed this book and this couple more than I thought even thought I would. I have read this author before and I enjoyed her Hot in Chicago firefighter series very much but I wasn't sure about the premise of this one (the female owner / player). But the star of the first few books of this series is definitely going to be the 3 sisters and their relationships and personalities, which shouldn't surprise given the great family and relationships I've seen this author write before. Don't get me wrong, the hockey is good and the team and the guys are great. And I enjoyed Remy a ton - very funny and sweet (eventually) and I liked the way he really persued Harper. But I cannot wait for more of the sisters. Well done and I highly recommend this book and I will definitely be purchasing the future books in this series.
