It’s a age old political nonsense that local police and local authorities don’t like their outsiders. I love how she deals with it and still with a little help from her “friends” cracks the case! Though the struggles of balancing home and work are always there, it’s good to see a devoted mother and awesome case worker put to the test.

Riley is a deep, complex character. If I could change anything it would be that the FBI supported her more, the firing/suspension thing is getting old. Love all the characters except Jilly- that storyline seems forced and out of place. The serial killers are well thought out and well written, they come off the page. Looking forward to #8.

Foe a book # 6 in a series I wasn't sure what to expect. But it was the best of the series. It could be repetitive but the readers of the series know this by now, as the author has to refer back to incidents and characters in other books to make it reasonable, or certainly readable as a stand alone book. It was NOT As repetitive as previous books, which made it easy to skip by that 1/2 page here & there where the repetition was necessary.
