Good writer. Excellent description of action. Lots of action, none gratuitous. Meaningful character development. Creative storylines and plot twists. Her work is more fantasy than si-fi. The science is weak and the basic premise is not supported by research. But while the world that she has created is consistent, her biology (particularly the eugenics) is shaky at best. Which is at odds with some of the storyline. The sociology is inconsistent. She is obviously making comments on race relations, classism, and economics. Some seem a little heavy handed. There isn’t much joy or levity to give the reader any rest. The result is that I feel as if I had been pummeled, ridden hard and put away wet.

Nice read, kept my attention. Would have liked a little more back story.
