Couldn’t put the book down, it was filled with strength and love.

This is the first in the continuing Sullivan series with the New York branch of cousins. The theme of “love at fist sight” is definitely at work in New York. Drake, the youngest in this clan is a painter. He has a show coming up soon and has zero paintings to show for it. He has hit a wall and has no creativity. He is at his place outside Long Island waiting for inspiration. He looks out of his secluded house at the rain when he sees a woman walking near the cliffs. He has a sudden desire to paint her. Rosa is a young reality star. She has been doing this for more than five years and hates it. A person hid cameras in her hotel room and has plastered the internet with nude, unauthorized photos of her. She is devastated. She escapes Miami for the one place that was special to her with her late father, Montauk Point State Park. As she is walking the cliffs unaware, Drake is watching her as she sinks to the ground and sobs. Drake, concerned for her safety in the pouring rain realizes she is broken as she sobs. Both Drake and Rosa have lost a parent when they were young. Each has a career spiraling out of control. Each sees a strength in the other they can’t see in themselves. In a week’s time Drake is painting again. He said he would never paint portraits but he can’t seem to stop painting Rosa. Drake convinces Rosa this was not her fault or her doing. We meet Drake’s siblings and are introduced to Summer Lake. This book deals with a lot of raw emotions from just about all. Drake and Rosa found each other at their lowest point so they could rise together. This story will pull at you heart strings.

Montauk and the Adirondacks were not described realistically. The characters, were mere caricatures and bore no resemblance to real people. The sex scenes were the best parts of the book and the inclusion of birth control was great.

I cannot get enough of Bella Andre books! This new series is set in NY. Artist Drake comes across a woman crying on his land in Montauk. Rosa meets Drake…and the rest is history. Read it!

Great story and I I would have given it a higher rating but the sex scenes we uncalled….probably fast forwarded 30 or more pages. Beautiful story without it!!!!

I felt devastated for Rosa because of her situation. I was glad that everything worked out at the end and that she found love and a great place to call home. This was a great read.

From our first glimpse of a Sullivan and their love to be, we are intrigued by their character and motivation, surprised by plot developments, and happy to be around them. A fun fast read from start to finish.
