This was my first book I ever read by Mary kay Andrews and I plan on reading all of her work now! Such an amazing story, great summer read. I finished it in July and am still talking about it in October! It truthfully left me speechless, you won’t regret reading this book!

This was the first book I read by the author and I liked it enough to give another book a try. I found it a little predictable, yet enjoyable and it kept me entertained.

One of MK's best. Full of drama, laughter and a thriller.
  • Well written

But oh so annoying. The people are entitled and boring. It felt tired the whole way thru, and a little difficult to relate to. Not enough anger at certain developments. Sorry.

This book read like a "made for TV movie". Characters were serious but at odd times humorous. Storyline and characters could have been better developed. Although I read the entire book, I never felt "tied" to this book. I felt I had to finish it because I paid for it. Should have waited to check it out at the library.

Great read! Not sure if I wanted to live at Belle Island or be a character in the book but it was so much fun. Loved reading it over the week of the 4th.

....hope there'll be a sequel. Really liked the characters, setting & the plot. It held my attention most times (ducked out & played Scrabble from time to time). Will read more from this author. Thought it was going to be corny like Danielle Steel or Gothic Romancy, but it was a book for grown ups - women, of course. If you don't like it, look me up and I'll give you 5 bucks.😏
