I read the summary about angel and Julia. Yet in the book I didn’t understand who Damon and Mia were! The book was more complicated than the summary! The author tried to add and mix the book up, but it only confused me. I got so lost and just quit the book.

My favorite book of 2015 was Ms. Gilmore’s Not My Romeo mostly because of the hilariously witty banter between the hero and heroine. BUT … A Tempting Friendship offers even more. This story is emotional, indulging us with a wonderfully complex relationship and some utterly delightful surprises. And, oh yeah - it’s SEXY. Really, really sexy. This is one series that keeps reinventing itself. Bravo Ms. Gilmore! Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved it. A friends to lovers/ second chance romance done right. It had the exact amount of spice, sweetness and romance. A standalone with a happily ever after. But does connect to other books in the series that are just as good!
  • Kylie Gilmore. 'Nuff said.

Kylie Gilmore. 'Nuff said. When I think "contemporary romance," I think "Kylie Gilmore." This book is yet another example of how Kylie takes MAJOR sizzle, mild humor, and plot twists and mixes them all together to form a can't-turn-the-pages-fast-enough story. And speaking of twists, I did NOT see several of them coming. At all. (Believe me, when you've read as many romances as I have, truly unexpected twists are incredibly refreshing) I was introduced to Angel and Julia in previous books (not necessary to read them before reading this one), and I had formed certain opinions which were WAY off the mark. Their story was filled with some heavy issues, and provoked a lot of emotional responses from "awww!" to "oh, stop it" to "SERIOUSLY?!" Sadly, Angel was the last of the brothers to get married off, but I CANNOT WAIT to see what Kylie comes up with next! (I think she dropped some hints at the end of this book, and the next book is going to be AWESOME!!!) ***I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***

This book is like all of Kylie’s books, it has humor, love, an alpha male (although you wouldn’t think he was) and Twist and turns! Angel and Juila’s story is a friends to lover story and like most friends Juila thinks it’s a bad idea for fear of losing his friendship. Angel has lusted after Juila for years and he has waited in the wings till he thinks she is ready to date after her husband’s death. When Angel finds out she joined an online dating sight he takes things in his own hands. This is one of the Hots books I have read Angel the social worker turned alpha male like all his brothers! I am thinking I am going to have to read all these books all over again!
  • This is real life

Widow Julia Turner is finally ready to date again after five years of mourning her husband. She confides to her long-time friend, Angel Marino, that she’s signed up for an online dating site and is shocked when it’s Angel that shows up at her door on the night of her first date. And the look in his eye is anything but friendly. Angel has secretly been in love with Julia since college, and after fulfilling his promise to his deceased best friend to watch over her these past years, he can’t stand idly by and watch her date another man. It’s time to unleash the sexy for a seduction that’s been a long time coming. *explicit content* This is real life. Difficult, terrifying, and uncertain. This is especially true when we do not talk to those around us. Julia, Brad, and Angel are all very guilty of hiding the truth or allowing misconceptions become the reality. A wonderful read of a long friendship that was supposed to be more than that but life happened. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
