Different for Kellerman, but interesting and hopeful even with serial killer plot.

  • Teenage Romance or Murder Mystery

Not up to Kellerman standards. What starts as a murder mystery devolves into an unrealistic teen romance. Girl gets boy, girl gets other boy, girl loses other boy and makes sacrifices to get other boy back and then. I won’t ruin it for you. Along the way the murder mystery is solved by the “other” boy and the girl. Afterwards they .... Whatever. The actions, motivations and reactions by the principals are unrealistic. As a result the arc of both stories fall flat.

Much prefer her Decker series. This book was ok, but not nearly as good as her earlier works. Sometime far too wordy and descriptive, the story bogged down in places. The teenagers didn’t ring true in many places. Will wait for another Decker book.
