Some parts are so intense I could only read a page at a time

Rebecca Forster creates characters that are so sympathetic you’ll believe that somewhere, somehow, they really exist. And the bad guys? You’ll pray they don’t. Hannah Sheraton is one of the good guys, the 17 year old ward of lawyer, Josie Bates. The rollercoaster ride that is Hannah’s young life, particularly in this last book in the Witness series, “Dark Witness,” had me unreservedly in her corner, hoping for the best and fearing the worst.
Josie, Archer, Hannah, and even young Billy Zuni are compelling characters, masterfully written by Forster. I highly recommend the entire Witness series, with this caveat: Be prepared to take your own ride as you share a part of their lives.
