About what I expected, Like his music, some is ok most I could do without.

This is a fascinating and well-written book. Willie Nelson led a wonderful life and I love his singing! He was so talented and had so many friends! I’ll be 81 in July so I come from his generation and can relate to a lot of things he talked about and experienced.

It was long but very interesting. I like biographies of lots of famous people!!!

Very well written, thoughtful and insightful book. Written by a man who is certainly not stuck on being holier than thou. He truly looks at himself and his life honestly. Love how he never has a bad word to say about anyone. Even those that screwed him over or he didn't care for. You may not like Willies music or politics or whatever but you must admit he is an honest kind soul. I am so glad his IRS fiasco did not take him out of the music business years ago. He is truly a gifted song writer and performer and has also proven himself a gifted, talented and well spoken writer. Good job Willie. Always lived your work before and do so even more know that I know your whole story. Hope you continue on for many years making sweet music.

His early years remind me of my early years except that Willie is a man driven by music. I had a good friend that worked for Mr. Nelson. Willie called him JUST BILL. He is buried at Willie's ranch. I thank Mr. Nelson for taking care of Bill Coldwell.

I've loved his music for a long time. It stands to reason his story would be equally as fascinating. Loved it.

I read it in one weekend. Willie tells his story with humor, truth and respect for his songwriting talent. This is a good man. And this is a good book.

I am more of a fan now than I was before. So many things to love about Willie besides his music. Gonna read it again and again

I grew up listening to Willie. My mother loved Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain. It's great he's still doing what he loves to do at 82. Enjoyed the book very much.

Good read and well done. It is a story about Willie. He says he is a man of faith and family. I had no idea he wrote so many songs and he is not done yet.
