Fabulous! Never use to read fantasy adventure but he got me hooked!

A real page turner. Don’t know how many times I’ve been late back to work from lunch because I’d “read a paragraph or two” that turned into 10+ pages. Life Before Death. Strength Before Weakness. Journey Before Destination.

In this large, epic series that is the Stormlight archive, the journey of each character is so real and heartbreaking and beautiful. This book has so many incredible scenes and the world is so immersive and unique. I honestly can’t say much else without spoilers, but if you decide to pick up this book you will not be disappointed.

Once again I found myself late at night wondering when Shallan and Kaladin would discover themselves, would Dalinar succeed, … I may have to take a break before the next one in the series so i can get some sleep.

Truly one of the most engaging fantasy novels I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading.

Very well written, even if occasionally there are references that are not explained well. Interesting story in a different world, one which is depicted clearly by the author.

This is literally the best book I’ve ever read

In THE WAY OF KINGS, we got to see some of Kaladin’s backstory, and we get to see Shallan’s in this book! We also get to meet Lift, who is my second-favorite character! (Kaladin is still my #1.) We get explore the world’s magic a bit more, which is always fun. “I am a stick.” We get to see the night Gavilar was killed from a different point of view. We get an awesome fight scene! “Honor is dead, but I’ll see what I can do.” Great second book; I devoured it! Not to be missed! (Oh yeah, and there’s a cool sword at the end. I mean the very end. Like, end of the last chapter. A VERY cool sword. Don’t miss it!)

It’s the highest rated book on goodreads for a reason. Stop looking at these reviews and buy it already. Idiot.
