My heart = in pieces Best book I’ve read all year

The angst , the drama, the romance, the pining ugh! So good! What a cliffhanger tho

I loved how quick the world building was, introduction of characters and fast pace read. The hopeless romantic wished there was more romance but it was fun and flirty and made me laugh and smile

The banter… ALONE is worth every single page.

I would give this book a 4. I was expecting more romance between two characters, but I had to remind myself that it’s a Young Adult fantasy. Hopefully in the next book there will be more romance. Also, the idea of the book doesn’t seem like a new idea, but it was a fun read. I read it in two days! It definitely helped me get out of my Iron Flame slump.

This book has a lot of tropes, but I’m not against it. A lot of knife to the throat threats. But overall a good read. Book is very hunger games-esq.

I follow this author on tik-tok and was honestly hoping for more. The story had potential but I couldn’t continue reading after the 10th chapter because the writing and dialogue was so choppy and hard to read. The details and general content fell flat for me. Maybe I’ll try and pick it up again but idk
