So disappointing after the great series that preceded it. Clunky and stereotypical.

This one started off strong, but tapered off at the end. Too overblown, too cheesy, too overdone. It became comical.
  • This was steamy and provocative!

Charlotte is an independent wealthy widow for last 12years and has found a purpose in her founding Angels Society but she still lacks…something. Although she has had her fair share of interested lovers no one has ever ignited her the way her deceased husband did. A dead husband that she still fantasizes about for the last 12 years but when her society of lady detective work collides with international spy network she begins to question of her husband really is dead. Callaway always touches on society issues, the underbelly of society, that no one wants to think or my less talks about and this story once again brings to light that men can be victims as much as women. Thai is a great adult read. Charlotte learns to lean on sisterhood and being independent does not mean living life alone. VLB voracious reader

An excellent series, each stand alone book are worthy reading on their own. But following each book in the series creates a richness in this book soap opera that is delightful. I love a good series and this one has become one of my favorites.
