Here's why: My wife and I are in the situation of wanting to grow our family but not being able too. Our option is Adoption. To read this book from the eyes of an adoptee really gives me a bit more clarity of what things to maybe be aware of.

I applaud this young writer for sharing her story. I'm a birth mother in an amazing relationship with my birth son. He found me when he was 17 1/2 and my life has changed so much. The gratitude I have for his adoptive parents is beyond words. My gratitude to God is also beyond words because choosing to place a child for adoption is not a simple decision to make. To be lucky enough to have a relationship later in life is a miracle and I'm forever grateful. May I also say to anyone that is adopted, know that you have never been forgotten. You were loved and daily loved by a birth mother that for whatever reason could not raise you. Remember that she did however choose LIFE for you! And because she did she lives/lived with a hole in her heart everyday missing you immensely and hoping the best for you.
