What a treasure for people to find. We do not need to be enslaved to the flesh, the Self, the ego. Instead, we can be freed from self. We can choose to live a life that is not bound to how high or low we view ourselves. Instead, we we fill ourselves with love for others, what is called self-forgetfulness. We don’t less of ourselves, we think of ourselves less.
  • Perfectly titled.

I have often felt trapped in the endless loop of my mind, either in self-flogging or in overweening pride. When my mind/ego is “full of scorpions,” I will review the passage in Corinthians and Keller’s book.
