It was sort of a Love story set as a Western, and I thought I was going to read a Western. Still, this book was enjoyable and satisfied my hankering for some of the Old West.

As always books by Zane Grey are wonderful. Surprisingly I didn’t know about this book. I have read almost all of his books. This is a great love story between various people at the ranch. I like these old westerns because you learn about life and how it was lived in the past. I highly recommend this book. Great!

Than an old classic western story. The descriptions of the sky, hills and valleys are too beautiful to describe. A gun fight or two and some romance. Perfect!

But for the derogatory term/racial slur...because of that my complete enjoyment was marred somewhat. I enjoy a good cowboy and Wade was that plus some. Good vs evil and love triumphs...

The west and its characters come alive through the unique one-of-kind writing style of Zane Grey. The Mysterious Rider is a classic portrayal of human interactions, the peace, and the turmoil, that is woven into each of their lives. This story will engage your interest early on and will not let go until the very end. A Zane Grey read for sure.

Zane gray does it right. I love the west and he writes as if loved it very much. Wish I could have meant him. He must of been a little like "Hell Bent Wade".
