This book is incredible. The first half of the book is well written, but parts are very hard to read (descriptions of the frequent violence toward the dogs). I found myself smiling through most of the second half at how resilient these previously-beaten and severely-abused dogs were. Wonderful book.

I have a pit and to keleigh.. Review below... Yes we tend to treat dogs better than humans because they are helpless living in our world. Don't get me wrong, Vick is an amazing athlete and one of the best but doesn't make him a great human being. Now the review on the book. The book is well written and it will hit every emotion you have. This book will open your eyes and heart to these dogs who are absolutely misunderstood.

As the headline indicates, this is a Rollercoaster ride of emotions. The highs of rescue and rehabilitation, the lows of the circumstances these dogs find themselves in. My opinions changed throughout the book, having known what happened to Vick. I highly recommend this read, if only to bring to light what really goes on in an underground world you may know little about, realizing these dogs are a victim of a crime. I have a rescued pit bull and this book made me rethink everything I have no idea what she may have been through before I knew her, she received some extra big hugs and kisses while I read this amazing book. I now want to find out how some of the other dogs are doing who hadn't yet been adopted.

Very sad but very good book!

We treat dogs better then humans these days and all people are insane. I'm not saying Michael was right for what he did, but he knew he was doing wrong. For all you non mistake People out there, Vick has more talent in his boogers then you do in yur whole body. Stop being jealous and appreciate the athlete he is.

It demonstrates the sad misconception of pit bulls while taking you through the amazing stories of some special dogs. It's really well written and really proves a point! Rescue and ADOPT!!
