Just read this while stuck at the mechanic waiting 4hrs for an oil change that turned into a$650 repair😖💸. Carrie Fisher is quite the talented writer and storytellers well as actor & singer. Oh and she's funny, which I find always makes a book better to read. It's a sad story of her crazy, addicted life, but she tells it in such a way as to keep one wanting to read more. Some of it is a bit shocking (if true), as in her mother offering to experiment with marijuana with her when she was only 13. I prefer true stories and biographies to fiction so I enjoyed the book and the online price of $4.99 was reasonable. I couldn't quite give 5 stars but thought 4 was appropriate. R.I.P. both Carrie and Debbie.

If you can get thru this book without skipping paragraphs or whole chapters, look me up and I'll give you five bucks, the whole price you paid for this book.😉

I haven't read this book yet, but I heard it was good and funny! And I also can't believe what happened to Princess Leia a few weeks ago 😔😔😔

I could not care less about her bi-polar problem or her drinking etc. I had major heart surgery this year, but I saw no need to write a book about it.

If you ever watch a Carrie Fisher interview of her Star Wars days, she is so dignified and soft spoken but after reading this book I can assure you she has changed, in a good way though. I loved her comitic humor on her personal life and truly wished it was a longer read.

This read like her television show script. However, not sure it would qualify as a book because it was so short. I don't feel like I got the value for which I paid ($11). Very short book.

I enjoyed the simple clear style of writing. Carrie opened her life for all to see. Very honest and upbeat. Being manic depressive is a challenge and she described her swings well. Overall, a very informative and entertaining read !!

I've never taken the time to read up on actors who I like; I figure its none of my business what they do in their spare time as long as they take me that magical place I call Movie Land. Carrie Fisher's character in Star Wars took me to that place many time and I thank her and the rest of the clan. I saw her book cover at the local grocery store and I thought why not. I am glad I did. She is pretty normal in my book, aside from the pills and mental disorder she is pretty normal. She so eloquently illustrated in her wonderful busy head her life in a couple hundred + pages. I want to read more because now it is my business. I gave it 5 stars because this is the first book, and I've been reading for over 30 years, the first book that I could not stop reading. I read the book in one night. I am not only proud of myself because I can now say I couldn't put the book down but I am proud I made it my business to read something from Carrie Fisher that just made me laugh. You can't feel sorry for her because she still standing. She's ballsy...I like ballsy. So now I like the two sides of Carrie Fisher; The Princess and The Writer. Thanks, Nancy Zambrano
