Hopefully not the last of the Series, this was a great addition to Kellerman's list of greats. To those who don't know, you should be reading the Decker books in order.

First off, lemme start by saying that I read a lot of books, and am quickly bored with your standard novel. Not this book. From beginning to end it kept me wondering what will happen. It really was like reading a movie, if that makes sense. The author did a great job with the pictorial language as well as keepiing the audience interested. I will definitely read more by FK. Slightly different than the usual, a little terse in places, but an engaging mix of plot lines, and satisfying ending.
  • Another solid addition to the Decker/Lazarus series

With cameos by the whole family and references to cases from several previous novels, this story was intriguing and suspenseful and a pleasure to read - if you were a long-time fan. I suppose it is inevitable that the more books there are in the series the more likely the later ones will read like a summary of days gone by. Having read every Kellerman novel, I enjoyed this immensely, especially Peter's birthday. But not sure how much someone new to the series would have enjoyed it as all the references to other cases would have been both a blessing (can't wait to read them all) and a curse (guess I'll have to read all the others to really appreciate this story). But for me, this one was a good solid read and I am glad I had all my stored knowledge to make the experience a truly gratifying one.
  • Good but somewhat weak ending

Classic Peter/Rina with cameos of all the family. Seems to be set up for a sequel given the ending.
  • Great characters...great book

I've never read any of the Lt Decker stories before but this makes me want more. My only problem with it is the lack of closure at the end... Almost as if it's part of a series rather than a complete novel in itself.
