The story was wonderful, but the language and graphic sex scenes were too much. I skipped over several chapters because I got caught up in the story. I just know not to get another book by the author.

Alexa Padgett is an amazing writer. Her characters are full of heart. Silas, Paloma, and Beatrix work through all of their issues to become a perfect little family. Another Charge is full of chemistry, heart, family, and love. The awesome start to Alexa’s new hockey series!

This was a heartwarming story about three people who are lonely and have all lost the only family they ever had. Silas is the hockey coach whose estranged sister has died, Beatrix is his now 8 year old orphaned niece of his estranged sister who has died. and Paloma has a sick mother who lives at assisted living facility. When Silas needs a nanny because he is an instant dad to his niece, Paloma needs the job to help pay for her moms medical care, the three find something really special in each other and form their own type of family. It was a really awesome story and I fell in love with the characters in this story. They have some challenges along to way from Paloma's and Silas forbidden type of relationship to Bea's pain at losing her beloved mother and Silas losing his sister and his guilt at being estranged from her. I love how the characters fall in love and become a family. I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Can the nanny be the fixer in this make shift family? Silas just became the guardian to his niece, Beatrix. The hockey fixer needs a nanny fast. That’s Paloma. A quick read.
