Falling For The Villain is incredible! This was my first dark romance for the subject matter in this book. I absolutely LOVE it. It’s incredibly well-written and hooked me from the first page! This book has me on such an emotional rollercoaster as I was reading. The intense chemistry, obsessiveness and this amazing storyline, I want my own villain! “The Master” and his Juliet. He wants to break her, train her and make her his. She wants nothing to do with him but what happens when he plays her body like a melody? “Play for me Juliet.”

What did I just read?? Despite warnings that this book goes down a very dark path…nothing could have prepared me for the edge-of-my-seat suspense that I felt that I was suspended in starting right from the very first chapter. This book is most definitely one of the darkest stories I have read…but whoa…what an incredible ride. Emotions fly high, villains are not what they seem, and heroes come in all shapes and sizes…and nightmares. This was a very good story…but not for the faint of heart and those with significant triggers.

I am a huge fan of RVD though Monica is still new to me author. I was intrigued by the blurb and was looking forward to reading this story. It’s definitely a dark story and not for everyone but with that being said the story was absolutely intense. Donavan is antihero with no redeeming qualities. He is cruel and a sadist . He sees Juliet at a concert and wants her for himself. The first half was quite dark and twisted . Overall it was wild and twisted ride .

This story is dark and might not be everyone’s type of romance. However, I think you may find that both these characters are strong on their own and together create a srength that will intrigue you. Although I don’t read dark romance often I can definitely say it was worth the read. I found that Monica and Rachel’s approach with writing Juliet and Donavan’s story was easier to experience as certain scenes could have easily pushed my boundaries. Just as I thought it couldn’t get better it did with the jaw-dropping secret that was revealed near the end. It’s obvious these two do a great job building a story together. I look forward to reading their next one. I recieved a book for an honest review.
  • Juliet’s monster consumes every page! You decide!

I am a hot mess of feelings about Falling For The Villain. It’s a dark, hardcore, shock value type of story. I’ve read dark, kidnapping stories and BDSM’s before, but this was off for me. I genuinely like both of these authors stories usually and have read the majority of what they have written, but this was missing so much for me. I wanted to throw my kindle so many times. I also felt like we needed a little more about Juliet’s brother as well because he would do anything to find her alive or dead because it would consume him forever. That being said, others may get wrapped up in the pain and devastation because everyone’s tastes are different. My emotions were all over the place that’s for sure. I say be the judge for yourself and decide what the story does for you. I think the cover is perfect and if you read the story, you’ll know why. It has some very poetic, beautiful lines that will tug on your heart, while it continues to break you. Falling for the Villain will definitely be a love it or hate it book for readers as Juliet’s monster consumes every page.

Another successful collaborative masterpiece from M. Robinson and Rachel Van Dyken. This one is dark, and a little sadistic. I was literally falling for the villain, myself. And the fact that there is a warning regarding the content matter of this book, I can’t help but to question, WTH is wrong with me. I mean there is a certain freedom to letting someone have it all... have YOU all, right?!? Especially someone who looks like and moves in that world, like Donovan. But it’s not the fantasy lifestyle, or crime that “captives” me. It’s brilliant story writing and character back stories that draw me. It’s their humanity, their feelings about who they are, and not so much the role they play. As sick as the situation is... As much as these two probably shouldn’t be together, I wanted Donovan and Juliet to have their HEA.

I wish I actually had the correct words to do this book justice. Actually, even if I had the correct words, I probably couldn’t use them without being a spoil sport. So please bare with me, as I try to navigate this review. I can honestly say without a doubt that I have NEVER read a book even remotely close to this one. Let me be the first to say, I’ve read dark books before, and now that I’ve read this one? It’s actually laughable thinking I knew what a dark book was. Shooo weee, Falling For The Villain is without a doubt the definition of a dark book. So take that warning for what it is. In all honesty, after reading the first couple chapters I didn’t know if I could do it, but I am so glad I pushed through. This duo of authors took me to a place I never even imagined. I was intrigued. I was scared, but mostly I was curious. Robinson and Van Dyken’s great world building opened my eyes to the curiosity and change. They crafted a well developed story that was perfectly plotted out with dialogue that even had me submissive. I quickly learned that there is a fine line between love and hate, and I loved to hate Donovan. Falling For The Villain is not an easy book in any sense of the word, but it is a book that will not be forgotten. It was such a nice change of pace. I actually really enjoyed it. I even put my own stamp of recommending it as well.
