Description

Dree Clark thought tall, ripped, thoroughly hot Augustine was her knight in shining armor, until she discovered he was her priest.
Where’s the last place in the world evil drug dealers from Phoenix would look for a girl who owes them money?
Nepal.
Dree is on the run. Her dead ex-boyfriend owes a whole lot of money to some drug dealers, and if they can’t get the cash from Dree, they’ll take it out of her hide. When Catholic Charities offers Dree a mission into the far reaches of Nepal because they need a nurse, Dree jumps at the opportunity and prays she’ll be safe.
Until she meets the Catholic priest who’ll be leading the mission.
It’s Augustine, the sexy guy from Paris.
But he has a new name, Father Maxence Grimaldi.
Well, she’d told him to lie to her.
She just never thought he’d lie about being a priest.
Now, she’s journeying far out into the wilds with the hot priest.
And oh God, they’re riding motorcycles, and he’s wearing black leather with a priest’s collar.
And there aren’t enough darned tents to go around.
She’s not going to be able to keep her hands off him.

  • Cliffhanger!

I hate cliffhanger books! That should always be the first line in the description of the book. I have read other books by this author and none of them were cliffhangers. She is a good author, so there’s no reason to do that to sell books. That’s for authors that aren’t good enough to get readers to buy another book. I got sucked in on this one and it makes me mad.

The storyline is fascinating. I’m so impressed by the character development and the obvious deep research that went into writing this story. So much more than a romance! Definitely a great read. Can’t wait for the next book!

Builds on and surpasses Rogue. Incredible character development and depth. The relationship between our main characters is so moving. The chemistry between them is scorching. The tension and wanting are exquisite. Blair’s Babylon delivers. I cannot wait for the next installment.

I thought Rogue was fantastic, but this fourth book blew me away! Max and Dree continue on their mission in Nepal. Deacon Max leads his team into the impoverished villages. The descriptions and philosophical discussions on our obligations as Christians and as human beings are fascinating and thought provoking. Dree struggles with her oath as a nurse, Max struggles with his vows to the church and his wealthy friends struggle with the responsibility of wealth and morality. I loved every description, every discussion and all the amazing twists and turns. What an emotional roller coaster and a terrific read! I can’t wait for the story to continue! I voluntarily reviewed this advanced reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way

This book is thought provoking and very well done. It is the second in the Max and Dree series and the best yet. My heart hurt throughout most of this story and it is hard to get into details and not spoil the story. If you have not read the previous books, grab them. Don’t miss this one, it is excellent. Can’t wait for the next in this series.
