This book is the first I have read by Kelly Gendron and I loved it! It features Jinx Collins, a US Marshall who is seeking information about her past, and Jed Zayne, an undercover agent posing as a known human trafficker who in reality is protecting the young girl Jinx is seeking. This novel has amazing characters and an intriguing storyline with unexpected twists, suspense, and steamy attraction. I highly recommend this read. An exceptionally written story that’s thought provoking and full of suspense . Wow, this one has all the feels. It’s a page turner and action packed from beginning to end. US Marshall Jink is trying to find answers and the man who has those answers is Aztec, a known child trafficker and currently being held prison. Then she meets Jed Zayne, posing to be Aztec, but the man wants answers too and he has to protect Lucy, the girl Jinx is looking for. What a ride! It is very well written and the characters are captivating, and intriguing as they deal with their own demons, their attraction to one another, the twists and turns and surprising realization that they have known each other long before they met. This was such a great book from start to finish. Lots of action secrets twists and turns. Could not put it down. Loved it

I absolutely fell in love with the characters in this book. You feel so many emotions when reading the story and I think when an author can reach in and touch so many emotions in you then that author has done what they plan to accomplish. To pick a character that my heart truly broke for, well I can not pick just one. It broke for Jed, Jinx, and Lucy. I cried for all three and all three touched me in so many ways. I loved the cat and mouse game between Jed and Jinx. It was fun reading about these two. These two were a match truly made for each other and the sexual chemistry along with the sexual tension was off the charts. I have to say I found the ending so touching and might have shed a few tears. I do not think the author could have ended the story any better. This is a book truly worth reading.
