After enjoying TC’s many humorous and insightful blurbs, and posts to the Bangor Police Department Facebook page I was excited to take a read through The Detective in The Dooryard. I was unexpectedly elated to find that this book gives way to emotions akin to that of Chicken Soup for the Soul with it’s thoughtful anecdotes, humorous dialogues, and the retelling of life lessons learned. This book is no less than charming and leaves your heart feeling a little bit warmer, your mind feeling a little more thoughtful, and your face with a little bit of a smile.

The Detective in the Dooryard: Reflections of a Maine Cop is an excellent book! I immensely enjoyed reading it. It is a book about the day to day life of a Bangor Maine police officer. It is a collection of short stories. The book will have you laughing and crying, sometimes in the same story. The book is an oasis of calm and warmth. I highly recommend the Detective in the Dooryard: Reflections of a Maine Cop I promise it will sooth your soul.
