Love how strong this woman was to help fight for other women and to find love of a great man and find a family she didn’t know she needed.
  • Good plot but bad writing

The book started out fine but went downhill pretty quickly. For someone that was so untrusting of everyone Star trusted Cade and his brother way to fast. The characters were all bland and had hardly any character development. The fighting was boring because Cade was able to win every fight no matter how many opponents there were all by himself. I was hoping Star would be a strong female lead but she was a damsel in distress most of the book. I wouldn’t recommend this book.

No Holding Back is refreshing and fun. I love the acknowledgment of their feelings towards each other. And also their devotion of family. Cannot wait to read Reye’s story!! Another amazing book by an amazing author!

Wow! Lori Foster is not afraid to tackle the tough subjects. This is not a light fun romance read. This is a real, gritty, nail biting romance that will take you on an emotional roller coaster. And make you grateful for a lot of things.

Wow this new series from Lori Foster started out with a bang. Sterling was abducted by human traffickers and somehow managed to escape. Now she is determined to help other women if possible. Case first noticed Sterling but to him she is Star. He is captivated by her and begins to watch her movements in his bar. Soon he realizes she is up things that will get her hurt. The Mackenzies have been tracking down human traffickers and now Star becomes the focus. Star and Cade are such a perfect match. Human trafficking is a serious problem and Lori Foster did a wonderful job bringing problem to life in her book. Please be aware and safe!!

This is probably the best book that I’ve read of Ms Foster’s and I’m pretty sure that I’ve read them all. It was pretty intense but considering the subject matter, it has to be. If there were ever two people who were meant to be, it would be Cade and Star. It was a stroke of luck that Star found Cade’s bar and that she felt safe there, realizing that it was Cade, himself, that exuded protectiveness without being overbearing. Even though Cade was exceptionally confident in his abilities, he was pretty perceptive about people, both close to him and with opponents. This was a great start to a new series. It has action, suspense, a few tears, and, of course, a great connection with some pretty hot scenes. What more could you want? It will be interesting to read about Reyes’ story, can’t wait!
