    A small plane goes down the mountains in Crescent Springs, Colorado. Deputy Sheriff Sierra Young and her K-9 partner, Samson are called upon for search and rescue mission. Who would be out in a plane in such abhorrent weather?? Sierra will soon discover. When she tries to save person alive in the plane, she discovers escaped convict, Damien Novack. Sierra had put Damien behind bars when she worked for the Boulder, Colorado Police. Raul tried to kill her in Boulder. Raul has escaped from the plane wreck and is on the lose. He has her in sites as a target. Sampson, Sierra’s K-9 partner was trained to be a K-9 police officer. But after one of the force’s K-9 dogs was killed in action, Sierra packed up and left Boulder. She returned to Crescent Springs to help her father in his toy store. She then trained Sampson to be a K-9 search and rescue dog. A much safer way to help survivors and keep Sampson safe. PI Bryce Elliott and Sierra had something going on between them. Then poof she was gone!!! After hearing of the convicts escape Bryce goes to Crescent Springs to help protect her. Will he be welcome?? Will he be able to keep her safe?? Deadly intrigue, action and adventure with multifaceted characters and a fur baby, K-9 Sampson as the star of the book. The talent descriptive writing will pull the reader right into the story. Enjoy the annual frozen waterfall climbing and the town events associated with this feat. The plot twists and turns giving the reader a titillating story. Plus the reader will learn about the K-9 work force in various helping situations.This is a real page turner with a surprise ending. This is book # 3 in the K-9 Mountain Guardians series. It can be read as a stand alone. A Highly Recommended Read!! I volunteered to read Fugitive Trail. Thanks to the author for the opportunity.
