Perhaps Crais’ best.

Crais’ books are always fun to read. They have a film noir type feel as if you’d expect to see each movie/book drop on Netflix taking 3-4 episodes to complete. It’s a great way to pass the time when you want something that many would describe as a “page turner!”

The book is one of the best Elvis Cole Stories yet.

I loved that this book showed more background on Joe Pike, post-military. This was the first book that I paid for full price. I don’t regret that at all. I guessed the shoot out ending, but not the real ending. I wish Mr. Crais could write a book a week!
