Description

The #1 New York Times bestseller from FOX News star of Tucker Carlson Tonight offers “a targeted snipe at the Democrats and Republicans and their elite enablers” (New York Journal of Books) in a funny political commentary on how America’s ruling class has failed everyday Americans.

“Informal and often humorous…an entertainingly told narrative of elite malfeasance” (Publishers Weekly), Tucker Carlson’s Ship of Fools tells the truth about the new American elites, a group whose power and wealth has grown beyond imagination even as the rest of the country has withered. The people who run America now barely interact with it. They fly on their own planes, ski on their own mountains, watch sporting events far from the stands in sky boxes. They have total contempt for you.

In Ship of Fools, Tucker Carlson offers a blistering critique of our new overlords and answers the all-important question: How do we put the country back on course? Traditional liberals are gone, he writes. The patchouli-scented hand-wringers who worried about whales and defended free speech have been replaced by globalists who hide their hard-edged economic agenda behind the smokescreen of identity politics. They’ll outsource your job while lecturing you about transgender bathrooms. Left and right, Carlson says, are no longer meaningful categories in America. “The rift is between those who benefit from the status quo, and those who don’t.”

Our leaders are fools, Carlson concludes, “unaware that they are captains of a sinking ship.” But in the signature and witty style that viewers of Tucker Carlson Tonight enjoy so much, Ship of Fools is “bulging with big and interesting ideas, presented succinctly with wit and precision, each chapter a potential book in itself” (The Washington Times).

I liked this book. Tucker really does a good job of looking at things from all angles, and some of his points are fascinating. I recommend this book to anyone wanting to think outside the box, and looking for differing viewpoints to solve out many differences.

We live in a world where we’re constantly bombarded with information (mostly lies and fake news) to the point of feeling sick. However, Tucker easily puts all the real info together and can connect the dots like nobody else. His hindsight is 20/20 and he sees through all the nonsense. This is an important read for anyone who still cares about the direction of this country. You cannot fix a problem without first acknowledging and understanding it, and Tucker seems to be the only one voicing any of this. Great read!

Succinctly put. Tucker has a unique ability to see through the smoke & mirrors, B.S. and hypocrisy to connect the dots in our inexplicably insane world devoid of any reality where few even bother to look, much less ponder.

This book does a great job breaking down the moral decay of America. Especially obvious in the decay of environmentalism. Well done

Picked it up today 1st time and read the introduction only to learn that Tucker got it wrong on our great President! I love Tucker, he cuts to chase on truth as O’Reilly use too, but Tucker credits Hillary with Trumps presidency and while her unappealing nature helped perhaps, Donald Trump won the presidency because of his famous “I am your voice” appeal to the decimated middle class crated by Obama and the democrats! Donald Trump is our President because of his own instincts and some very excellent advisors (Bannon and Kelly Anne Conway). So once I’m disappointed with a book in the first few pages I don’t bother reading the rest of it, and because I do watch Tucker and Hannity I already know how corrupt the elite establishment is including Republicans, in fact it was President Trumps nomination as the republican nominee that showed me how big the swamp is including Paul Ryan and his cohorts! Sorry Tucker you’re wrong about why Donald Trump is in the White House and he’ll remain there in 2020, because he is looking out for US!

Truly one of the best books on the state of affairs in the United States I have ever read, and I am an avid reader; I have been for 45 years. Mr. Carlson sets out things clearlm his wit makes the reading enjoyable. Being a Roman Catholic, I enjoyed his references to things that perhaps only a Presbyterian or an Episcopalian or a Catholic could relate to. He made it not only interesting but fun to read. I've been recommending this book to everyone I talk to. Thanks Tucker! Your book set things out clearly. Your examples were spot on and your truths were self-evident to anyone with an IQ above 105. As to the sheep out there, we can only hope they will wake up soon and give up this insane new and radical religion they've decided should replace the values of Judeo-Christian principles that our democracy was founded on. The moral turpitude in this country will only serve to destroy our country.
