This is the third book in the Dirty Deeds series and it is a standalone. It is an emotional, serious, slow burn love story. Shay and Sean a.k.a. Stitch work together in a restaurant. Each of them is struggling to make a better life for themselves. They are meant to be together but it takes Stitch a while to accept that he finally deserves something good in his life. Shay has dreams of a better life but Stitch is just surviving. Shay is exactly what Stitch needs, it just takes him a while to realize it. Stitch is tormented and has a ton of baggage from his past. He is distant, snarly, has low self esteem and doesn’t expect much from life. Most people are put off by his tattoos and his big, intimidating presence. Stitch is attracted to Shay but knows he isn’t good enough for her. Stitch is a sympathetic character, he hasn’t had an easy life. No one has ever cared about him. I was rooting for Stitch because underneath his gruff exterior, is a good guy. He isn’t sure what to think of Shay; he has never met anyone like her. Shay couldn’t be more different from Stitch, but somehow they work. Shay embraces life, loves to be around people and has a positive attitude. She is working two jobs because she dreams of opening her own hair salon one day. Shay has a big heart and she knows Stitch is hurting and she wants to help him. Something about Stitch calls to Shay. I enjoyed this heartwarming story. Thanks to the author for providing a copy of this book vIa Cocktails and Books and Netgalley. The opinions expressed are my own.

When it comes to any book written by J. Daniels, you scramble and do whatever it takes to have it in your hands to devour. She’s definitely one of my ultimate favorite authors and she proves time and again just why. Captivating and breathtaking, this third book in the Dirty Deeds series will undoubtedly make you yearn for so much more even after you’re done reading it. All I know is that this book checked almost every single one of the boxes in what I want in an exceptional and unforgettable romance novel. If you thought you loved Trouble and Wild in Four Letter Word or Loser and Legs in Hit the Spot—to me, they’ve got nothing on Stitch and Shay. These two just rocked me to the core. No matter how different they were, that blazing chemistry and soul-deep connection they shared was surreal—they’ll make you jealous and crave for the kind of relationship they have. Bad for You just knocked me completely on my bum. Hell, just reading the prologue, I was already pummeled with so much agony and pain. First chapter in and I was sucked into Stitch’s vortex that I never wanted to get out of—that I never wanted to leave. It shredded my heart and soul, then went ahead and mended, soothed and made it all better after. It packed the emotional and gut-wrenching punch I never expected from Sean’s story, but at the same time, Shay’s comic relief was ultimately welcomed. She had me giggling from some of the weirdest, funniest and quirkiest things that she said or did. It certainly balanced out the heaviness of the emotions running through my system all throughout. This has been by far THE BEST and my favorite out of all the books in the Dirty Deeds series. Hell, probably even in all of J. Daniels’ books. And knowing how much I love everything she has written thus far, that’s truly saying something. Bad for You is a story I’m keeping close to my heart, never letting go and won’t ever forget for a really, really long time.
