I think one of the reasons I like this one better than most is that I love the two main characters. She’s a doctor and he’s an unconventional law man. She’s probably one of the strongest heroines of all of the books I’ve read. For me this is in the same league as Never Judge a Lady by her Cover, To Catch an Heiress, Dreaming of You, Three Weeks with Lady X, A Night To Surrender, Wicked Intentions, The Other Miss Bridgerton, and Because of Miss Bridgerton.

I loved this book it was very interesting having a women dr and a very strong character, I love Ransom this was a good read. I read this after reading Devils Daughter but I still Cannot wait for the next in the series

My love for this book will forever burn within my heart and mind. Strength, courage, as well as never ending love weave those qualities together.

The characters are well developed but the story itself is very boring. There is a great attention to detail about the medical care available at the time but sometimes that over took the story. Something lacking and fell flat for me. I did like Garret a lot!! Much better than the selfish childlike behavior of Pandora from Devil in Spring( hated it).

Started this book simply because I’m in the medical field a love a heroine who is also in the medical field... couldn’t put it down because it is amazing!!! This is a great story... now to read the others in this series...

Love this author. Enjoyed historical detail about medicine. Plot pretty thin.

I never miss a book by Lisa Kleypas, be it modern day or historical romance. She is truly a wonderful writer that will draw you into her story. You come to know her characters intimately. Her books are filled with adventure, humor, sex that is clean but passionate, with endings that are completely satisfying until you realize you have to wait for her next book. This book was wonderful !

Talk about getting lost in a book. One of her best.
