I love sports romances, so I was excited to read DOWN AND DIRTY. Tracy Wolff made this story believable and the characters realistic and it made me feel like I was right there with them and I never wanted to leave. Hunter is the quarterback for the San Diego Lightening and has been playing professional football for nine years. Right now, he is going through a tough, emotional time and needs to buy a house. Emerson has just graduated from college and on her first day as a real estate agent, she meets Hunter. Emerson can barely pay her bills and she needs the this job badly. But, of course, life doesn't get any easier for Emerson when her boss takes an instant dislike to her when Hunter requests Emerson to show him some houses. As Emerson and Hunter spend time together looking for houses, they fall for each other. Hunter finds Emerson at the perfect time in his life. She brings stability and strength when he needs it the most. She cares about Hunter, the man and not what he can give her because he is a professional football player. On the outside Hunter seems like a cocky, arrogant athlete but once you get to know him and his situation, you realize he is a thoughtful sensitive guy going through a lot of bad stuff, that is not his fault. Hunter is dealing with a lot of things right now in his life and there is something about Emerson that calls to him. He is an emotional mess and Emerson settles him. I really enjoyed this story and the characters. Hunter is a big, macho football player but he is also sweet, charming and vulnerable. He is attracted to Emerson's smart mouth. She doesn't let him get away with anything and she loves to give him a hard time. Yes, their relationship did move fast, but I didn't mind. It still worked for me. I loved everything about these two and their chemistry is off the charts. The are both smart and self assured but also have their insecurities, too. They had an intense connection and there are some very hot sex scenes. This is a beautiful story about love, loss and dealing with the curveballs life sends you and how having someone beside you, can help you deal with anything. This story is magical. I received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review for Netgalley and Cocktails and Books.

I received an ARC for a honest review. It was a good read. The chemistry between Emersona and Hunter was definitely hot! But the story seemed rushed and felt more like a novella than a novel. I think the characters and the story needed to be fleshed out a bit more. I really liked Emerson's character......even though in the beginning she was annoying with her attitude. In the end she proved to be much sweeter and didn't let her own issues mess up her relationship with Hunter. She really did "stand by her man". All in all, a good read that I would recommend.

What started out as what I thought would be a typical sports romance story, quickly turned into a well written romance with heart that at times left me in tears. It had heart stopping sexual interactions, more so than I normally care to read, but it was so well done that it was so much more than erotica for erotica sake that see so many authors put into their stories. Along with the sexual nature between Emmerson and Hunter, there were moments of a deeper connection and heart wrenching, tear evoking scenes that tore at my emotional center. The scenes were so well written, the dialog smart and fast paced, the humor was wry and quickly delivered seamlessly. All in all I found this to be a story that will stay with me long after I've gone on to read others. This book was provided by the Publisher and Netgalley, I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

I love sports romance and I had a great time reading this football star and fiery redhead romance! Emerson is a spitfire and she gives as good as she gets and doesn’t let Hunter get anything over on her. Emerson and Hunter are thrown together by fate and soon are falling in love until tragedy strikes Hunter’s life. Emerson is everything that Hunter could ever want in his life, she is beautiful, caring, smart and her smart mouth and wit just makes him fall for her more. Emerson can’t help but not be charmed by the fabulous Hunting Browning, but there is so much more to this man than what the media and his fans think. This is a fast paced and insta-love read. The characters were engaging and the story does have some emotion to it. The story also has great humor and I had quite a few laugh out loud moments. Their chemistry is off the ch arts. I really enjoyed this book, the only thing is the story ended a little too quick for me. I would have liked a little more to the epilogue.

Tracy Wolff can write a great book, but I have to say this might be one of my favorites. For no other reason than it's not her usual fare, and it was great. Emerson's first say on her new job goes right to hell and helping her on that path is Hunter, star quarterback for the San Diego Lightning team. Emerson is all feisty, snarky and just plain old ticked off at Hunter since he and his oversized truck side washed her while she was already soaked to the bone. First day on the job... way to start it. Turns out Hunter is there on business. He's house shopping and tells the boss lady he wants Emerson to help him find a house. Boss lady isn't happy at all and neither is Emerson. Emerson is pretty much doing this to support her art work. The banter between these two is comical, it's light fare and plenty of steamy innuendo and that first kiss. Buckle up. Hunter has a lot on his plate, he's looking for a "home", not just a house. His twin sister is in the final stages of her life and Hunter will take over the care of her two children. The kids were great too. Hunter has a couple of teammates that were great support also. I loved Tanner. Hope he gets the next book. It's great to watch these two grow together, it's low angst and no crazy ex's which was blissful for a change. Hunter was pretty creative when it came to places to do the deed. Had to hand it to him for that. The last few chapters were highly emotional and made my chest ache, for more than one reason. Absolutely great book Tracy!! **arc from NetGalley and Loveswept in exchange for a fair review**

OH MAN!! I freaking LOVED this book! Get ready for all the FEELS! It immediately sucked me in and I was lost in Emerson and Hunter's world. I liked the unique way Emerson and Hunter met. It was terrible, awkward and completely captivating. Emerson was having a bad day and Hunter seemed to make it worse. But their banter was fun. She gave as good as she got and Hunter was drawn to her. He wasn't ready for her to walk away and managed to find a way to keep her around a bit longer. But soon, he realized she got him and he didn't have to pretend with her. Their chemistry was explosive and all-consuming.

I loved this book. Hunter and Emerson were fantastic. He was strong, hot, famous and special with a heart. She's feisty, funny, smart and the kind of character you can really get behind. I loved the dynamics between the two, how they brought out things in each other. The play between the characters was fun and heartfelt from beginning to end.

Loved, loved, loved this book!! This one touched - no slammed all my emotional buttons. Tons of hot, steamy, sexy times with an amazing story at the very core. Hunter Browning's known for his incredible plays on and off the field. As an all star quarterback finding female companionship isn't hard but there is something about his new feisty real estate agent that calls to him. On her first day at her new job Emerson Day can't believe her bad luck. The jerk that just splashed muddy rain water all over her is one of the high profile clients of her firm. Now, because he called and specifically requested it, she is responsible for showing him houses and closing the deal. She's not sure what his game is but she's sure she can win! I'm a huge fan of Tracy Wolff's and this is one of her best! These characters are exceptional. Warm, funny, witty snarky banter, and tons of sexual chemistry. The writing is crisp and fluid. I highly recommend this one to everyone.

Man, I loved this book! I just adored the heroine, Emerson Day. She is funny, quirky and doesn't take crap from anyone! She is also smart and sensible. On Emerson's first day of work at her new job as a real estate agent, everything that can go wrong, does...car breaks...Uber late...and it's raining. Finally getting to work by Uber, Emerson steps out of the car on to the curb. A huge, black truck quickly pulls into the spot the Uber was just in and sprays a water puddle all over Emerson....and this is where the fun begins! Enter Hunter Browning....gorgeous, cocky quarterback for the San Diego Lightning and driver of said truck. As Emerson is giving Hunter a piece of her mind, Hunter is really enjoying the sight of her in her white, wet blouse....and really enjoying her smart mouth! Imagine Hunter's surprise when he finds out that Emerson works at the same company that is trying to find him a house. Instead of having to deal with the handsy owner, Kerry, Hunter insists that Emerson helps him. Wow....these two just exploded with the amount of electricity they were producing! Between Emerson's smart mouth and Hunter's cocky attitude, it was just a matter of time when these two would combust. I loved watching Emerson realize that there is more to Hunter than what he lets people see....especially the whole story line involving his sister and her two kids. I also enjoyed how Hunter was able to bring more life into Emerson's world. The story line these two went through to get to their happy ending was filled with so much emotions....I was laughing, crying and even swooning at times. Overall this was an awesome story, which such fantastic characters and I couldn't recommend it more!
