I have been a fan of certain John Grisham novels but when I read this book I wondered why Parks is not given as much acclaim. I look for a story with a somewhat unique plot with interesting characters, that moves along fluidly and is filled with twists and turns and surprises. I appreciate the research that must have gone into the story, especially the judicial aspects. I would have given it 6 stars.

I loved the way the characters were developed in the plot! It is a heart wrenching book that demonstrates the love we mothers have for our children. All mothers everywhere will enjoy this book.

The author is an expert at presenting believable bad guys and girls, but then… You’ll just have to read this to find out.

Intense reading from start to finish. Never a dull moment. Great ending.

This is an incredible book. It is Grisham worthy and that is high praise. The only thing I can add is get it, and read it. You won't be disappointed.

This was my first book by this amazingly talented writer, and I will read every other one immediately. The tension starts on the first few pages and never let's up. What a treat to read, buy this book now, and say goodbye to anything else you were going to do. It is worth it.
