This was an awesome series but I can't find a fourth book and there is such a cliffhanger, please write a fourth book.

I really enjoyed the creativity of this book series, the author has a wonderful imagination and pays great attention to detail in his character, environment, and story development. I especially like that Joseph R. Lallo is active online with his readers. I cannot wait for the next book in the series to be available. Take care everyone. -Josh
  • Free wrench series #1&2

A fast paced well painted first book that was carried into the second. Mr. Lallo has created a world rusty and familiar enough to beckon the curious visitor. Compelling characters with character and integrity. They read way too fast as you root for the crew of the Wind Breaker. Keep up the great work so more of us can explore the world that has only begun to be revealed.

Third book in the series and the third time is the charm. The rowdy crew of the Wind Breaker have found their mojo and have set the world on its ear. Looking forward to the next book.

I'd never read a steampunk novel before this series but if it's all as fun as the Free Wrench series I will definitely be reading more of it.
  • #2 was more a "can't put it down" than #1 so...?

Just finished this second book of the series and as soon as I were this review I'm starting on the third. Having flown half my life and trying to be at sea the rest this naturally drew me. But here we have stream driven areoships and a complete description of a totally different world while giving the characters a human touch. I love science and science fiction and with this series you get a wonderful dose of both in s completely believable manner. And not all just steampunk. There is an ongoing cat of characters that could be from past or future worlds but could also sit and have a beer with you. A hard to describe (obviously) different and immensely enjoyable book you can't help loving.

Very interesting characters and story development. This story is not just a take off of another story. It is a whole new world and new characters. A nice read for those looking for something new.

Mr. Lallo continues to plot well and develop his characters. Freewrench showed promise and exuded charm and the series unfolds the back story with admirable restraint. This, the third story in the series, demonstrates real growth for the writer. I await the next installment. If you are new to the series, start reading now.

Just about anything written by this author has been an enjoyable read for me. The Free Wrench World is not some old SciFi/Fantasy scenario with a few different twists. I found it to be a unique and refreshing change. Thank you, Mr. Lallo!
